Vintage prints made in a Fleet Street darkroom in 1972

An Englishman's Castle

Looking for a gift with a difference?  These bromide wet prints really are unique photographic artworks.  There were no mass print runs on machines in those days. Darkroom technician Ron Taylor got his hand wet producing every single one. Each image could number only  one or two prints at the most. Making the signed vintage prints rare. We have not retouched the dust spots or marks on the prints – this is how they came out from the darkroom in the 1970’s. Print sizes will range from 10x8 to 20x16 inch. Photographers signature and fingerprint will appear on card mount and on reverse of framed pictures on an attached letter. With every sold print sold online comes a 122 page hard back book, An Englishman's Castle. Covent Garden 1972. This book contains the unique photographic story of the last squat in Covent Garden. It is signed by photographer Bob Aylott. All print mounts and glass is to museum standards .
